The DOL 28 and iDOL 28 sensors are unique 30 mm capacitive/proximity relay sensors for detection of feed, grain, and solids in a feeding system. The sensor features a built-in powerful relay with switch function.
A capacitive relay sensor is typically used as empty, full, and level indicator in tanks, silos, and containers. The powerful integrated relay in DOL 28 and iDOL 28 means that they can control many functions directly.
These sensors are designed for controlling the filling and emptying process in feeding supply systems and comes with a 2-meter (6.6 feet) cable.
Feed Sensor with Integrated Light for Poultry
The sensor has a white LED for illuminating the feed pan. DOL 28 and iDOL 28 feed sensors are intended for feed pans in poultry production, where the light will ensure that the pan with the sensor gets attention from the birds. Which again ensures a stable feed supply.
Compared to discrete light solutions, DOL 28 and iDOl 28 are very easy to install and can also be used for upgrading existing feed systems with an integrated light solution.
The feed sensor has a light intensity at 0,3m (1 foot) higher than 100 lux.

Two trimmers or the SmartAdjust App make it easy to change settings of product parameters depending on the model.

A red LED clearly indicates the current status of the relay sensor and a green LED indicating power on sensor.
The DOL 28 and iDOL 28 feed sensors come with IP69k and NEMA 1, 3, 4, 6, 12, 13 protection.
The sensors are made in a ø30 mm smooth design mounted in a PG36/M40 gland and threaded M30 for mounting with nuts.
The use of electronic rather than mechanic switches in DOL 28 and iDOL 28 ensures a unique reliability. Particularly as the electronics are completely encapsulated in special plastic, which provides maximum protection against humidity and other external influences in harsh environments.
The sensor is also CE, C-UL and UL approved and has a high immunity to noise from electric communication (i.e. from a mobile phone) and transients (i.e. from motors and contactors). This makes the sensor very reliable.
The DOL 28 and iDOL 28 capacitive/proximity sensors are easily mounted in a plastic gland, which is also available as a flange solution for easy external mounting.
Likewise, the sensors are supplied with thread, which provides several mounting options.
